This rugged and portable Satechi SSD enclosure including USB-3.1-(Gen 2)-cable, can easily connect M.2 NVMe SSDs or M.2 SATA SSDs to PC and iPad. The enclo-sure can be used to expand storage, upgrade the operating system, backup files, retrieve, restore and transfer data. Thanks to the uncomplicated opening mechanism, the SSD can be easily integrated tool-free. The enclosure enables data transfer at speeds of up to 10 Gbps for M.2 NVMe to USB 3.1 (Gen 2) and up to 6 Gbps for M.2 SATA to USB 3.1 (Gen 1). For efficient data transfer and backup at up to 10 Gbps, a USB-C-3.2-(Gen 2)- or Thunderbolt-3/4-port is rec-ommended. Thanks to the robust design, improved heat dissipation is ensured, which prevents devices from overheating. The integrated plug-and-play design for Windows, Mac and Linux is designed to be particularly user-friendly, as no prior installations or drivers are required. As a prerequisite, the SSD file system must be supported by the host operating system to be accessible.
