Stixx Pro is a small self-releasing fire protection device that, in the caes of a fire, extinguishes the fire before it can even grow. Thanks to an integrated cable that detects heat, when the temperature reaches 180 degrees, pyrotechnics automatically start the extinguishing process. Stixx Pro emits a non-toxic potassium-based smoke, extinguishing the fire quickly and efficiently. After the extinguishing process, no extinguishing residues remain due to the innovative formulation and damage to electronics, furniture or the building can be avoided. Stixx Pro can be used to extinguish small fires of liquids and gases as well as wood, paper, plastic, cooking oils and electrical fires.
Effective, residue-free and without damage to health
The innovative technology, developed for space applications, extinguishes small fires efficiently, quickly and without residues. Conventional extinguishing agents use powder, foam or carbon dioxide and can cause damage to the health of humans and animals as well as irreversible material damage. The core contained in the Stixx Pro consists of a potassium compound and is completely consumed during the extinguishing process, leaving no residue in the container. The escaping potassium radicals interrupt the chemical combustion reactions by neutralizing hydrogen, oxygen and hydroxide radicals in the flame. The potassium smoke forms capsules around the combustible particles, preventing re-ignition and extinguishing the fire without consuming oxygen. Aerosols consist of tiny particles and, because of this property, are a more effective extinguishing agent than conventional powder. Due to a small diameter, the particles have a lower falling velocity, remain in suspension longer and thus contribute to better re-ignition protection.
The self-extinguishing fire protection is fixed in place using an adhesive surface, protecting an area of 0.1 cubic meters (e.g. 100 cm high, 50 cm wide and 20 cm deep). Due to its compact size, Stixx Pro can be placed in places with limited space, providing more safety in everyday life. The MAUS Stixx Pro is designed for fire protection in enclosed areas such as fuse boxes and junction boxes or in cars, campers, and boats. Multiple Stixx Pros can be used to increase the area of protection.
Important Notes: Not suitable for extinguishing burning metals and ember fires! MAUS fire extinguishers are a supplement to approved fire extinguishers and should only be used in the initial phase of a fire. Thanks to the innovative concept, Stixx Pro does not require maintenance and offers up to five years of use.
