The Tedee Biometric Module is a wireless fingerprint sensor for integration into door handle bars, enabling keyless unlocking of compatible Tedee smart locks via biometric authentication. The module is designed for discreet external mounting on the outside of the door and allows the integration of biometric access solutions without wiring or costly structural modifications.

The module is integrated into door handle bars with a suitable recess and is powered by a separate battery pack. The system enables long-term operation and supports up to 100 authorized fingerprints, which must be registered personally and each count as a separate access unit. An illuminated sensor area signals successful or rejected authentication.

Activation and management are carried out locally via the Tedee app, in which permissions can be defined individually by date, weekday, or time. Sensitive biometric information is not stored; instead, fingerprint data is tokenized and converted into non-reconstructable data sets.

For additional security, the module is mounted with screws and then covered by a glass panel, concealing the mounting points. The device is designed for outdoor use but should not be exposed to direct water contact on a permanent basis. A Bluetooth connection enables fast and secure communication with the smart lock – without drilling or additional cables.
