The tedee door sensor adds compact door status detection to the smart, compatible tedee smart locks. It precisely detects whether a door is open or closed and transmits this status to the lock via Bluetooth – for more security and optimized smart access control in everyday life.
With a minimalist look, the two elements fit seamlessly into any home environment: a sensor and a magnet. They are attached to the inside of the door leaf and the door frame using the integrated adhesive surfaces. When the sensor and magnet are in contact, the door is considered closed – the smart door lock can lock automatically. If the door is open, the locking process remains deactivated. This prevents unintentional locking and optimizes the automation of the system. In addition, security notifications can be activated via the app if the door remains open for a freely selectable period of time.
In conjunction with the tedee bridge, the door status can be queried in real time in the tedee app or via the cloud API. This means that it is always possible to remotely determine whether the door is currently open or closed – regardless of the state of the lock. At the same time, all opening and closing processes are recorded in the activity log and are available for inspection. Communication between the sensor and the lock is via Bluetooth, while firmware updates and battery levels can be managed via smartphone.
Adhesive pads are attached to the back for easy installation, and calibration is done via the tedee app. A tedee PRO, tedee GO or tedee GO2 is required for use.
